Choosing the perfect venue for your wedding means asking the right questions! From dates to décor to catering, you'll need to consider many wedding details during your search. We have come up with a wedding venue checklist of questions you should always ask to find the best venue for your big day:

• Is the venue available on our wedding date?
• Can we hold both our ceremony and reception at the venue?
• Can the venue accommodate our number of guests?
• Is there an outdoor space for the wedding? Do you have a backup plan if weather becomes an issue?
• Do you have heaters for guests if it gets cold outside?
• How long is the space available? Are there any time constraints? Any overtime charges?
• Will other weddings be taking place on the same day? How exclusive is the venue to us?
• How much is the deposit? When are payments due? What is the cancellation policy?
• Do you offer a wedding package? If so, what does it include? Dinnerware? Tables and chairs? Lighting? Decorations?
• Does the venue's décor meet our vision? Does it clash?
• Can we bring our own decorations?
• What about entertainment? Is there space for a dance floor? DJ or band?
• Are there any restrictions we should know about (e.g., type of music we can play or open flame candles as decorations)?
• Does the venue have liability insurance?
• Is there a space for the bride and groom to relax and change before the ceremony?
• Is there an in-house caterer? Do you offer a menu tasting? Can I hire my own caterer?
• Will your staff cut the cake? Is there an associated fee for cutting our cake?
• Will your staff set up the wedding space?
• What is parking like? Is it complimentary? Do you offer valet parking?
• Do you have any vendor recommendations?
• Does the venue have adequate spaces for taking photographs? Does the venue have a nice outdoor scenery?
• Do you have an alcohol license? Can we provide our own alcohol? If so, is there a corkage fee?
• What public transportation is available to our guests?
• Where are the restrooms and the coat-check room located?
• Does your venue have lodging space? If so, what discounts can you offer our guests? If not, are there nearby hotels where our guests can stay?
