Planned To Perfection.

Louise and Oli's wedding is just so full of summer fun - it's the perfect wedding to bring you on a Monday morning. There's a bouncy castle, space hoppers, a candy floss machine AND a Mr Whippy ice cream van!!

It's a real family affair too...the gorgeous couple held their reception in a tipi at their home and incorporated their little girl's Christening into their big day as well. Which I think is such a lovely idea.

There are so many pretty decor touches too - I love the chalk board table plan, the flowers in milk churns and the silver candelabras adorned with flowers and elegant ivory candles.

And if you're looking for sparkly Bridesmaids dress inspiration then Louise's choice of gown for her girls will definitely give you a touch of the green eyed monsters...

Louise The Bride:I had my heart set on a Jenny Packham wedding dress but even after pleading with the shop to sell me one they had in stock (the wait time was far too long and I was planning my wedding within 4 months) I realised I'd have to find a different one. I tried on every dress in the shop and was about to leave when one of my friends spotted one dress I'd not yet tried on. As soon as I put it on, I knew it was perfect. Better still, when I went to pay, it was in the sample sale and was over half the original price - leaving me a good shoe budget!

It was a deeper ivory, very classic with the most beautiful lace detail at the front and back. Choosing my shoes was the easy part, as my dress was so simple, I knew I wanted to have shoes with the 'wow' factor that could also be worn after my wedding on nights out. I rarely wear much jewellery so hadn't bought anything but on the morning of our wedding, Oli surprised me by writing me the most lovely letter and also gave me a pearl bracelet from Tiffany & Co.

Oli wanted to buy a nice suit for the wedding that he could also wear afterwards so opted from a plain blue suit from Reiss. He wore brown shoes, a white shirt and a plain blue tie and a white pocket square with a blue trim. All the men had a different button holes. I surprised Oli on the morning of the wedding with a tie pin present.

After Oli popped the question on Christmas Day, I knew I didn't want a long and drawn out wedding. I'd waited 7 years already. We had been at St.Edith's Church in Shocklach on Christmas Eve, taking part in the village service and it felt really special knowing we would be having our wedding there. We knew we wanted the reception and after party in our field, and we wanted to create a relaxed festival feel so our friends could just have fun. The Tipi company were absolutely amazing and brought along old armchairs, rugs, fire lanterns. As Oli is totally into design and lighting he insisted on having a lighting company work their magic around our house. It looked amazing and we lit our house, Lilac House, in a purple colour and put uplighters under all the trees. At night, it looked incredible and really enhanced the festival vibe. We had festoon lights strung around fences, lighting the way for our guests and fire lanterns were lit leading you in to the tipi. Our electrician was on site all day and made sure the lighting was perfect at each stage in the day and that the fire lanterns and pit were all lit.

I really didn't want to have a 'colour scheme' as I didn't want to be restricted. I wanted to have everything we love on our wedding day. I chose neutral colours and put them with a rustic style to create that laid back look. I raided my friend's farm to borrow all of the galvanized milk churns and watering cans. I got their 15 year old son to make some wooden signs and then just used some paint to write on some words. Our florist then made some smaller bouquets to lay on the top of the signs.

Oli's mum had made 500 metres of bunting for Oli's brother's wedding and so we used that around all our garden fencing and up the poles inside the Tipi. My best friend from my childhood couldn't be at our wedding but bought me Barbie and Ken Bride and Groom and the Sylvanian Family wedding toys which we hung on the backs of our chairs, so only we knew they were there. For table names, we made each of the flower girls and page boys the host of their long trestle table and framed our wedding logo with their name. They were the head of the table and it gave them more importance on the day.

I loved my wedding bouquet, I wanted to create the look that I had just gathered lots of different flowers and put them together quite casually. My bouquet was like no other I've ever seen and absolutely huge! My florist was excellent. The Bridesmaids had gypsophilia with the stems differing in length. The flowers at our wedding were a combination of professional displays in candleabras that gave the wow factor and gave height within the Tipi.

Also our neighbours collected flowers from their garden and surrounding fields and displayed them in jam jars, milk churns and in galvanized watering cans. It made a huge impact in the tipi as it was bursting with flowers running the length of the trestle tables. The archway to the church was decorated by members of the village school PTA, for a small donation. Outside the tipi, I had painted some signs on some bits of wood I found around the garden and got the florist to make a flower posy to lay on them. A farmer friend delivered some bales of straw on the morning of the wedding for more seating outside.

I absolutely loved all the Bridesmaid dresses, as they were completely different from any I've seen before. They looked great on the day and sparkled in the sunshine. They suited all three of the Bridesmaids and they all wore their hair how they felt best. They accessorised their dresses with their own shoes and jewellery so they all had their own style. As it was also my daughter's Christening day, her dress was different to the dresses the other flower girls wore, she had a full skirt, with looked beautiful and on the sole of her shoes she had the words 'I do' in crystals. I got the florist to make her a flower ring to wear on her head, using the same flowers as my bouquet, as I knew she wouldn't hold a posy. The page boys wore something comfortable, blue chinos, a white shirt, blue converse and blue braces. The little flower girls wore pretty lacey dresses with tulle skirts from Monsoon.

Our ceremony was so lovely, the Reverend at the church is so laid back and she incorporated Hetty's christening into the wedding ceremony. She is so child-friendly and didn't mind Hetty stealing the show and making a bit of noise. For our readings, my best friend Emma read 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3 and Oli's sister read 'Yes, I'll Marry You' by Pam Ayres, which was perfect considering it was Hetty's christening and we have a black Labrador, Eddie. Our friend's daughter sang for us during the signing of the register and reduced the audience to tears. Hetty started walking about a week before the wedding so walked down the aisle holding mine and my Dad's hands.

As the reception was in our garden and very family centered, we had lots of garden games and toys for the children. They loved the bouncy castle and the 3 space hoppers with Mr Yeates, Mrs Yeates and Miss Yeates written on the backs. In the evening we had a brilliant band and there was no space on the dance floor. People were dancing all night! As part of the best man's speech, Will had organised for all of the employees of Oli's company to do a Harlem Shake video, when they were having a meeting in the board room and then it cut to them all dressed up in crazy outfits wearing masks of Oli's face. Later in the evening all his employees turned up wearing the masks, which made for great photos! Before the wedding I had bought loads of dressing up clothes and wigs and glasses, then set up a table in the Tipi with an iMac and instructions written on a blackboard for people to create their own photo booths. People loved the props and they were worn on the dance floor too. I used the photos from the photobooth to send out as 'thank you' cards to all our friends.

I loved choosing the food for our day, we wanted people to have a good choice with such age ranges and tastes. We opted for a buffet style so that people could choose from a variety of dishes, including Thai Green Chicken Curry, vegetable tagine and Vietnamese noodles. This worked really well as most of our friends brought their toddlers and didn't have the worry of keeping them quiet or being fussy with food. My Mum and Sister made party bags for each of the children to have at the table, they included books and toys and kept the children occupied during speeches and meal time. I wanted to re-create that excited feeling when you hear the sound of the ice cream van and so knew this was the only choice for desert, along with another childhood favourite: candyfloss. When thinking about the food for the after party, I continued the laid-back feel and opted for a Burger van, this proved to be a hit with our guests! Oli's mum made our wedding cake, she made a chocolate cake and put white chocolate fingers around the outside. I got our florist to make some flowers for the top. It was perfect!

When I found STUDIO 1208 I knew they were the photographers I had to have, the photos are perfect and after speaking to Maria, I knew she just got our style and would make me feel relaxed on the day. I was against having a video at first, but after seeing the work they do, I was convinced. I watched so many of their videos in the run up to our wedding. Our wedding guests commented on the day how brilliant Nick and Maria are, they felt more like friends at our wedding, which is so important as you spend lots of time with your photographer on the day. We love the photos we've had back and the trailer and full wedding film have been fantastic. They managed to capture every part of our day and got to know our guests so well that they captured all important moments and faces. Choosing the right photographers was so important to Oli, as he is in design and is particularly passionate about photographs, so I knew I had to find the best. They are also both complete hotties so all our guests listened to what they said and always turned up for their photo to be taken!

As a wedding planner, I really wanted to incorporate all of the things that we love. Planning a wedding is about making it totally unique and a real reflection of your personalities. We wanted our wedding to be an amazing party and it definitely delivered! Also as a wedding planner, I know how important it is to have someone there on the day co-ordinating things, so I asked a friend and fellow planner to work on the day. It was brilliant, everything had been planned to perfection and I knew I could just enjoy the day and she was there to ensure it ran smoothly.
