English Cotswold Charm With A Touch Of Pink.

Oh Polly and Glen, you really do make a beautiful twosome don't you. This classically elegant wedding this morning took place at the Matara Centre in the Cotswolds and was bought to you courtesy of Lillian & Leonard Wedding Photography.

Filled to the brim with colour pop pink florals, glitzy Miu Miu shoes and and heapful of lace and love you also need to check out Polly's exquisite Jenny Lessin frock too; it fits her like a glove!

Polly The Bride: The Matara Centre has a fantastic atmosphere about it. I loved so many things about it that I had my heart set on it as soon as I saw it and Glen fortunately agreed. The fact that you can completely take over the enormous Georgian-style house and grounds and treat them as your own (bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, juke box - all of it!) was a particular attraction. We really wanted to have our close family and friends around us in the lead up to and on the day itself. Mainly to take advantage of any opportunity to get together and celebrate pre- or post-wedding!

The whole venue and grounds are beautifully arranged and maintained. The owner and the staff are really are so welcoming that you do feel as though you are in a home from home. It all helped with keeping us both really relaxed.

We wanted the day to have quite an informal feel to it. Everyone commented on how beautiful but un-stuffy the venue was, and that was exactly what we were aiming for! Matara combines proper English Cotswolds countryside with little oriental touches, which might sound odd, but it all comes off as they have been done in a very natural and fitting way. Overall, you just get the feeling that it doesn't matter what religion or belief you have, or even if you have none; they welcome everyone and it's all about being with people you love and having a great day.

Our table teapot favours were from Dunelm Mill and were filled with either amaretto or flowers! Our brother-in-law designed the font for the invites; they were then printed by Pall Mall Stationers and sent out in Liberty print cards. The table names were just on ordinary wedding cards, also purchased at Liberty's.
