Our Day Out to Legoland | Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

It feels like forever since we had a family day out. What with bump, work and renovating the house we've not had much time to breathe.

My parents applied for the Sun free Legoland tickets and we got them back for last Sunday - Father's Day. After some umming and ahhing, we packed up and set off. It was a bit of a bargain day out with 2 free tickets and the 3rd we purchased via the Tesco clubcard voucher scheme, so happy days!

I was a little worried about managing a trip that far away with my anxiety issues, but I was fine. I totally managed, which is something I would never have dreamed of making a couple of years ago. Plus I was concerned about having a bit of a waddle going on and not being able to go on many rides, it was still a lovely day out for me too though.

We had a great time, we got parked up and into the park for near on 11 in the end. Having our tickets pre printed meant we went straight through the gates. We took along a picnic, A's swimming costume (for the splash park) and our camera alongside the usual day out essentials :-)

We quite possibly chose one of the busiest days, being a Sunday in June and Father's Day. So there was a lot of queuing involved, something I struggled a bit with being on my feet. But A handled it pretty well. I think the boys went on around 7 rides in the end. I managed to go on a couple too which was great fun.

I went to Legoland twice when I was younger and have magical memories from the days spent there. One of which was panning for gold, which we had to pay to do. BUT it was something fun that I could be involved with and A won a medal at the end.

We also enjoyed a wander around miniland, how cool would it be if your job was to build these?!

Anyway, it was great to have a day out. I would really recommend a trip to Legoland if you have little ones. I really hope A remembers and treasures this day out in years to come. He cannot wait to go to the older kids driving school already hehe! I hope we manage to fit in some more adventures before bump arrives.

Whatever you are up to this weekend, I hope you have a great one XOXO Lou
