The Grand Budapest Hotel Wedding Inspiration

The Grand Budapest Hotel Wedding Inspiration

Wes Anderson flicks always get a big thumbs up from us, and we love nothing more than when creatives take his quirky + fun aesthetic and translate it into a beautiful form of wedding inspiration! The team behind today's styled session, led by French Knot Studios + Izzy Hudgins Photography, were inspired by Wes' The Grand Budapest Hotel, particularly the lavender-hued facade of the hotel itself. And we just love the shoot they've created based on the film!

We're loving the movie's unique color story, which the team incorporated seamlessly throughout. Pale lavenders + pinks contrasted against navy + dark purple - complete with fun pops of cherry red - would be such a lovely and unexpected palette for a wedding!

From French Knot Studios, With so much of the film focusing on the grandeur of old luxe hotels, exquisite paper goods were a must. Miss Pickles Press did an exceptional job creating all the beautiful details for this shoot. From monogrammed food picks to patterned drink stirrers to a travel inspired postcard table number complete with an actual vintage door knob wired to hold it; every detail flows from one paper element to the next. My favorite, the mini lion door knocker on the reply card.

Pretty impressed with those super cool bouts, crafted from crystal drawer pulls, vintage European keys, and pretty sprigs + blooms.

Tassel garlands are always a good idea!

Loving all the bright pops of red!

Mini cakes were made in the shape of the iconic hats used throughout the film: Lobby Boy, Mendl's Bakery, and the prison hats. Such a fun touch!

Such a fun shoot! Big thanks to everyone below for inspiring us today!

And if this editorial has gotten you into a Wes Anderson mood (we definitely are!) then be sure to check out this gorgeous Moonrise Kingdom styled shoot, too!
