Dog-Gone Darling Wedding

Dog-Gone Darling Wedding

Planning your wedding from out of town is never an easy feat but Christina and Quincy made it look flawless. They also took it upon themselves to create the majority of the decor and details that turned out oh so pretty! Their color palette of soft pink, bold coral, enchanting mint, and deep sapphire came together beautifully. You'll most likely ooh and ahh over their puppy powered escort cards!

We spent a long time searching for the right venue and I'm so glad we held out for such a gorgeous spot! After visiting Oak Farm Vineyards on the recommendation of a family friend, my sister called me from the parking lot and said it was beautiful but they only had one summer date left and we had to book that day if we wanted it. She was right and it ended up being the perfect spot. We were married under a gorgeous old oak tree and we love that it's a spot we'll be able to go back to years from now. My parent's house where I grew up has a big oak tree out front and Quincy's parents named their farm Quercus Farm (meaning oak tree in Latin) after the oaks on their property. It was perfect for us.

We always love when we see our goodies at a wedding. Above is one of our favorite invites The Audrey Collection! Below you can see the flower girls in our Rainbow Flower Girl Tank and the ring bearers in our personalized dinosaur tee.

The whole weekend was so perfect, I really don't think there's even one thing we would change! One funny thing though, my two little nephews were the ring bearers (ring masters as they kept saying) for the wedding. At the rehearsal the night before the wedding, my little silver wedding band actually came untied from the pillow and got lost in the long gravel driveway! After 20 minutes of 20 people searching, we had to just go on with the rehearsal. Eventually my father-in-law found it, nowhere near where everyone had been looking! So, probably best to tie on a fake ring, even if you want the ring bearer to feel very important! I dip-dyed and hand stamped the Hooray flags (the stamp is from BlossomStamps on Etsy). My dad and I spray-painted all of the dogs gold and glued them onto the scalloped cards my mom and I cut out. I made the toothpick flags with washi tape. My brother and I made the tissue-paper tassel garland and put together the Rifle Paper Co letter banners. I collected and displayed wedding photos of our parents and grandparents. The chalkboards were done by my friend/bridesmaid. I made the thank you cards on the table and menu cards using the logo from our invitations. I also made signs for the bathroom doors using our baby pictures. I collected the vintage blue jars, and my mom, aunt, and friend made the jam favors. The tree disk centerpieces were cut, sanded, and stained by the groom's father. Catherine and Quincy live in Brooklyn, and planned their wedding just outside the Bay Area where Catherine is from. She came out about a month before the wedding to prepare with her family and friends, which gave her time to create so much by hand. With regard to the dog theme, Catherine always wanted a dog her whole life, and dogs have been an important part of her and Quincy's life together. Quincy and Catherine adopted a rescue together named Clyde. They've fostered dogs and volunteered at the ASPCA. In lieu of gifts, some of their guests donated money to the ASPCA in their names.
