What Carly Did - Hen Do & Final Bits

What Carly Did - Hen Do & Final Bits

via

Well girls & boys here it is, the time has come..... My final blog before the big day, with only 5 weeks to go I truly don't know where the time has gone. I have loved every minute of my RMW journey and feel a tad sad that it's nearly the end. I have made 5 new friends and don't know how I would have got through all my wedding ups and downs without their advice to get me through. Nicola, Sarah, Sophie, Stef & Jackie, thank you so much for being there. The RMW team did good!!! I can safely say I am going to miss all of the planning and blogging and have no idea what I am going to do with myself after Friday 4th July 2014....any advice is welcome!

I genuinely don't know where these past few weeks have gone, I am thrilled to announce my list is practically non existent now. We have been very busy bee's and got most of the crafting done thanks to my amazing family. I don't know where I would be without them. I received an e-mail from coralie Beatrix to inform me the b.m dresses have been dispatched which I am sooooooo excited about and we have completed our order of service. Jobs which on paper seem minuscule but In fact are extremely intricate and detailed.

As you will all be aware by now right from the start we wanted our friends and family involved throughout and that hasn't changed. However last week if you remember Sarah talked about not forgetting you...the bride and groom and how the day is yours. This got me and Mikey talking!!! We spoke about how even though we want to try and please everyone this will most likely be impossible and that we need to put what we want first and everything else will fall into place. I feel so much more relaxed now and know everything really will be perfect.

About 12 months ago I was talking at work about how I need to get fit...Blah, blah, blah and how I need to detox, sign up to the gym and get my facials booked in. I got some great advice off a colleague who told me not to peek to soon or I will burn out. I can honestly say I took this on board and am so thrilled, a few weeks ago though I thought I'd up my gain and joined Mikey and I up for an 8 week bootcamp course with some of the fam.Omg!!!! What was I thinking, ha ha!!! So far I have had swollen shoulder blades after carrying tyres and Mikey has had a log dropped on his toe Weary face all I can say at this point is that I had better look good in my dress. My mum has warned me that if there are any more injuries there will be trouble. My course of microdermabrasion starts next week which I am very excited about and I'm hoping that my skin will be 'glowing' after I have completed my this. I was worried I left it to late to do anything to improve my skin but the skin clinic I'm going to has assured me it is never too late, fingers crossed. I have booked my hair, make-up and nail trial in for the next couple of weeks which is all rather new to me as I usually carry out these jobs myself due to training as a make-up artist. I have never had anyone really do my make-up but my thoughts are I want my bridal party to be pampered on the morning of the wedding and have no one stressing about things going wrong. I am actually really looking forward to seeing the results of the trials.

Over the past few months my sisters have been busy planning my surprise hen doo along with the help of my bestest and chief bridesmaid Lorna. All I knew about it was the dates I needed to keep free. When both Gem and Luc got married the hen doo was planned in secret so the tradition continued with me. Last weekend I celebrated my hen doo and I can honestly say it was a complete surprise and one of the best weekends I have ever had. 2 weeks ago I was told that we were staying over somewhere so needed to pack a case. On Friday morning we met up at my mums, still non the wiser other than knowing the odd friend who was meeting up with us on Saturday. My mum asked Mikey to drop me, gem and luc off and told me that her, my auntie and her best friend would join us later. We got dropped off at the place hotel in manchester which is gorgeous, we walked in and Lorna was sat waiting for us. When we went up to our apartment gem and luc had decorated it. It looked absolutely gorgeous. They had made up bags for all of us which included p.j sets, badges, and a few little presents. After a few glasses of champers we went to one of my favourite restraunts for dinner -Sapporo tapenyaki, we then went to australasia's grand pacific for cocktails.

Later in the evening we went back to the apartment where we all got into our Jammie's and opened a few pressies. The girls had made me a DVD of my life in photos, it was amazing and I cried all the way through. It is totally amazing and something I will treasure forever.

The following morning we got up and went out for breakfast and had a day of shopping and champagne. I had another lovely surprise when 2 of my friends turned up for lunch, The day was getting better and better.

when we got back to the apartment 3 more friends were waiting for us. Gem and luc instructed me to be ready for 7.15pm but still wouldn't tell me where we were going. Me, Lorna, kala, Karen & Jen then got a mini bus where I was guided into a room full of all my favourite girls. We were at Allstar bowling, it was amazing and somewhere I would truly recommend. The girls had hired out a private room for a night of cocktails, bowling, karaoke and canapés. I truly did have the most fantastic time and didn't have a a clue about any of it. I really do have the most amazing sisters, Mum, family and friends and want to thank them all for making my weekend so special.

While I was celebrating my hen doo, 2 of my brides were getting hitched in Italy and France. Nicola and Sophie I hope you both had an amazing day and are having a truly wonderful time celebrating with your nearest and dearest.

Signing out for the last time as Miss Carly Ann Savery I want to take this opportunity to thank the RMW team for letting me share my wedding planning and all my ups and downs along the way and also all you guys for your support. Happy planning my lovelies, remember to have lots of fun along the way, here's to married life.

Love lots,
