The island of Lefkada is situated off the west coast of Greece, connected to the mainland by a floating bridge at its northern tip. The word Lefkada means "white stone" after the limestone of the cliffs, and the island is surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are direct flights to Preveza airport (half an hour from Lefkada) from the UK and internal flights from Athens take less than an hour. An ideal place in which to combine a destination wedding and honeymoon, guests traveling over to a wedding here will have the chance to travel to the other islands of Kefalonia, Ithaca and Meganissi with regular car ferries leaving from Lefkada.

The resort is actually two villas that can accommodate 24 guests altogether. Located five minutes from the island's capital town of Lefkada (or Lefkas) in the north-eastern area of the island, if you're looking for a touch of luxury with astounding views this might be the venue for you. Several outdoor areas would suit a wedding reception including the stone patio surrounding the beautiful infinity pool and a green lawn terrace. The resort also has a stone barbecue and gym area.

Pavezzo is located in the Katouna area of the island's north east. The venue is comprised of a group of 19th century residences that have been converted into houses, maisonetts and apartments and are set into a hillside surrounded by mountains. Each lodge sleeps from two to six people for accommodation of up to 34 guests, and wedding groups of up to 120 guests can be catered for on site. The lodges are individually decorated in a rustic, romantic fashion with all mod cons and have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

With panoramic views as far as the islands of Skorpios and Meganissi, the Villa Octavius is a mix of traditional Greek style with modern comforts. It is a smaller villa with accommodation for 8 people onsite and is situated near the town of Nidri on the eastern shore of Lefkada. The venue's mountaintop setting makes for 360 degree views of the surrounding hills and ocean with amazing sunsets, while outdoor spaces such as the pool terrace are available for wedding receptions.
