Allia and Grant's love story all started during an 80-day high school study abroad trip around Europe. During this trip the two got to know one another, but once they returned home to Canada Allia jetted off to Halifax for university, while Grant moved first to London, Ontario then to Los Angeles. The couple maintained a long distance relationship for more than four years before finally settling down together in Toronto. "The thought of sharing a time-zone for the first time in over four years warranted some kind of celebration and we both decided a wedding to bring together family and friends would be just the thing," says Allia.

For their big day the couple planned a glamorous, vintage-inspired celebration. Allia and Grant said their "I dos" under a stunning floral trellis after which guests were treated to an elaborate reception in the ballroom of the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. Pink, gold and champagne decor paired with lovely Chiavari chairs and whimsical, travel-related details added to the romantic ambiance of this celebration.

"Our favourite wedding details were the seating chart and table names," explains Allia. "We wanted to incorporate our love for travel and all of the places we had visited together into our wedding. So instead of having table numbers, we named our tables after various cities we had travelled to. We then placed escort cards on a large map for people to find their places. In addition, Grant designed each and every table name with collages of vintage travel images. Everything came together beautifully and it was nice to have that personal detail that the groom designed himself."
