#148: framboise et menthe

Morning ladies! How was your weekend? It's been a mix of work and play at b.loved HQ, as today I'm off to the White Gallery to discover the latest bridal collections coming to the UK, catch up with industry friends & get some time out of the studio!

Today's inspiration board is a reader request from Stephanie, who's getting married at the beautiful Hotel Endsleigh in Devon this Autumn. She is tying the knot in an intimate ceremony with just 25 guests, and described her vision for the day as simple and elegant with a touch of countryside. Being French, with an English groom, she also wanted some ideas to bring in some French touches without being too clichéd! The hotel has an array of pretty interiors, and the most stunning mint green reception room with a really relaxed, rustic vibe which is where the inspiration started. Stephanie mentioned a white, neutral and green palette perhaps with a touch of raspberry, which I have translated into a soft mint green, greyed jade and neutral tones with touches of the berry colours to add warmth to suit the time of year. Wooden tables and benches, antique French linens and simple place settings would be in keeping with the rustic vibe, with loose and organic floral arrangements filled with foliage, neutral flowers and touches of pink. The subtle French influence comes in the form of a cheese table, artisan breads with berries and figs displayed on pretty antique trays, wooden boards and glass cloches for guests to help themselves. She could give favours in sweet linen bags, with messages stamped in French too!
