A few years ago, James Murphy's health was deteriorating -- he was in and out of the hospital, dealing with a number of strokes and a heart that was operating at just three percent. He needed a heart transplant.

According to central Texas news station KWTX, the biker pastor was losing hope that he'd get the heart he needed. Then, one day in January 2012, he received a life-saving phone call -- they had a heart for him.

It wasn't until after the 50-year-old had the surgery that his donor's family contacted him to meet in person. The donor -- 32-year-old Ricky Mata -- had died from a sudden brain injury. Mata's family and Murphy hit it off from the get-go, so much so that sister Jeanette Reyes asked Murphy to officiate her wedding last Saturday.

"It was remarkable to hear my brother's heart beating inside him," Reyes told KWTX. "That really hit me, and I was like, 'Can I just stay right here forever with you and listen to that for a long time?'"
