Australian Bush Wedding Ideas

The Australian bush wedding ideas that have come out of this incredible shoot from the talented Kristy Marek of Imbue Weddings and The One Day House are a beautiful way to spend an afternoon. Classic romance in the Australian bush- blush pink paired with fern, neutral furniture with plenty of texture and detailing. An elegant take on something so beautiful in itself.

Captured by Byron Loves Fawn and pulling together beautiful pieces from Jennifer Gifford Designs, 3rd Lady, Green Willow, With Love Stationery & Design, Cotton Blossom, Blissful Makeup, Rhylee Passfield, Peachy Vintage Collections, Covered Linen and Adorn Event Hire, Kristy was inspired by the theme of "fern and blush".

She notes "The colour palette was neutral cream, white and taupe with beautiful blush pink. The touches of green, so evident in the bush setting came through in added touches of fern and greenery placed in vases to decorate the setting. The styling for this shoot was quite neutral to highlight the natural beauty of the marquee."

Green Willow created loose, open floral arrangements. Kristy recalling "Green Willow did some beautiful designs using ferns and Queen Anne's Lace".

The "Bride" was dressed in a pink bridal gown Kristy remarking, "The gown from Jennifer Gifford was classic in style but in a gorgeous light blush colour to match in with those amazing wood tones from The One Day Houses furniture."

Guests are invited to relaxed under a shaded marquee filled with furniture in tones of taupe, cream and white. Kristy noting, "The Indian canvas marquee was the basis of the styling. We used that colour and the beautiful natural fabric as the inspiration behind everything. The marquee makes me think of a Jane Austen dinner party but it has this Indian feel as well. So we combined classic furniture with cane and brought in ferns (which I think are really Edwardian)." The marquee featuring natural cotton voile curtains which blow beautifully in the breeze.

The reception dinner table was kept simple - a beautiful botanical inspired table runner and napkins from Covered Linen with white vases filled with ferns. Cane charger plates from Adorn Event Hire sat under white plates. Kristy notes " We used a taupe and white leaf designed runner and napkins to add some interest to the table setting, setting off the natural cane of the charger plates. When you do something neutral it's all about the textures, so there are touches of cane, wood, embroidered fabric, pressed tin (my fav... that wall!), sheepskin fur, sisal, jute and linen all tied together beautifully."
