There is so much to love about this simple farm wedding. In the middle of such a rural (and seemingly traditional) setting, this couple's event is filled with delightfully non-traditional details. From the bride's fantastic flowered dress to the paper crane laden chuppah, this wedding has plenty of fun surprises. Thank you to Brittany Lauren Photography for sharing, and read below for the bride's thoughts on wedding planning.

What was the inspiration for your wedding's theme?
The inspiration for our wedding theme was more of a family reunion - big party, everyone's invited!

Any DIY projects?
The flags are a family reunion tradition, and the MOB made the "Salmon Chanted Evening for sure" flag in honor of our wedding. Also, the chuppah was made by the the groom's father, actually for his daughter's wedding, and reused for this wedding. All the red cranes were folded by the MOB and bride's brother.

What was your favorite moment of the day?
When the groom sang his vows to the tune of "Your Song" by Elton John.

What advice would you give to newly engaged couples who are just starting the planning process?
Start early, settle on your venue and theme, and don't hesitate to tell parents/friends/family members that you appreciate their advice but want to do it your way.
