Lily Bella was created in 2009 when I was trying to find things for my own wedding in 2010. Lily Bella is named after my, now 5 year old, daughter {pictured below} I discovered birdcage veils widely available in the US but not really any in the UK . I quickly created a birdcage veil and started selling them on eBay. The very first birdcage veil was white and on a plastic comb! Pretty unattractive! I soon adapted the birdcage veils to a much better metal comb and beautiful French net in Ivory. Lily Bella in 2014 has over 80 styles of birdcage veils, bridal combs, bridal belts/sashes and feather hairpieces and has over 100 stockists Europe wide , I am delighted Lily Bella is stocked in some of the UK's finest award winning boutiques. I am mad on feathers, I know some people find them difficult to work with but I love the delicate nature of them, every feather is unique and can be crafted into beautiful hairpieces. Everything I create and design is based around the birdcage veil and products to match. Lily Bella has always been a forward thinking brand and we are very much a trend setter and retailer. I love the belt / bridal sash trend that is so big and I think will continue to grow. We are delighted to create bespoke collection for some fabulous British design houses and will be releasing our new belt collection in collaboration with Yarwood-White (our sister company) in March this year. I would love to see more colour in bridal accessories this year! We receive many emails from brides wanting bespoke hairpieces, and love working with brides creating one off pieces. More and more brides what to be unique so we are delighted to be able to offer this service. I love receiving images from brides after their wedding too! The best so far in 2014 is receiving a message from Shirlie Kemp (of 80's pop group Pepsi & Shirlie) thanking us for her Rosa belt used at her vow renewal to Martin Kemp and seeing it in OK magazine! We will be launching our collections into Europe this year and the USA at the end of the year, taking our British made birdcage veils back to the birthplace of birdcage veils!
