Carneros Inn Napa Wedding: Brigid + Andrew

Carneros Inn Napa Wedding: Brigid + Andrew

via

According to their talented photographer, Caroline of Milou and Olin (who Brigid + Andrew found here on GWS!), this quirky, fun-loving couple wanted a modern spot to tie the knot, where rustic elegance would still feel at home. The Carneros Inn in Napa, California fit the bill and Brigid + Andrew infused their day with some super lovely rustic details like old galvanized buckets filled with florals, and a cool, wooden escort card art installation that’s sure to inspire some of you to create something similar! And I’m majorly in love with Brigid’s incredible Temperley London dress + their fun, fresh color palette of green, ivory + lavender — a combo that you don’t see all the time, but definitely works beautifully. Here’s a bit more from the bride about one of the most important aspects of the day:

We really wanted to create a gathering that celebrated our group of friends…who are really an extension of our family. We wanted to have a whole weekend that was personal and got everybody together in the same place. The weekend was filled with good food, wine, fun, laughter, and love. Most of our guests came from the east coast or LA, so we picked Napa as a mid-point (more symbolically than geographically) for everybody to meet up.

Such a fun bouquet, filled with lots of great textures, by Julie Stevens Design!

Processional: We Belong – Pat Benatar (played by a string quartet)

Recessional: You’re So Cool – Hans Zimmer (from True Romance)

First Dance: Everything I Have is Yours – Billie Holiday

The most memorable moment of the wedding was walking back down the aisle after getting married. One of Andrew’s favorite movies is TRUE ROMANCE, so the string quartet played ‘Your So Cool’ for him as our recessional song. It was so surreal to be walking hand and hand surrounded by all that love -- a moment in time that will stay with us always.

Their escort card display reminds me of our string heart DIY we shared last year! Are any of you planning on creating something similar for your big day?

Don’t plan for a year. We put everything together in 90 days, and it forced us to make quick decisions that would have otherwise agonized us for no good reason.
