Fall Foodie Wedding Inspiration

Fall Foodie Wedding Inspiration

via

The inspiration for today’s gorgeous shoot comes from the idea of a gentleman farmer — someone who farms or gardens for pleasure — as well as the arrival of one of our favorite seasons, autumn. From that sprouted a beautifully design shoot brimming with lots of lovely, rustic ideas, perfect for all of you who are planning a fall or foodie-inspired wedding! Here’s more from Love Me Do Photography, the talent behind the lens on this one:

We wanted to create an elegant, but fun tablescape using local seasonal florals and produce, some of which are grown on-site at our venue, the Wyck House - a historical home set in Philadelphia with a 250 year old farm + garden. Birchtree Catering designed a rustic late summer menu to match the setting + we made Blackberry Shrub — a drinking vinegar cocktail popular in Wyck’s heyday. Going into fall we wanted this to be a little bit of a summer’s last hurrah for us…

Incorporating garlic bulbs into the bridal bouquet is such a fun + unique idea for a farm wedding! This vibrant, Autumn-hued bouquet also features sage, dahlias, gomphrena, raspberries, zinnias, celosia, and a giant tillandsia.

How cute are the farm-inspired paper goods by Loveleigh Invitations?!

All of the flowers for this shoot were grown on an urban organic flower farm right in Philadelphia. Love N Fresh Flowers chose vibrant hues of orange, salmon, red and plum to highlight the bounty of Autumn. A happy marriage was made between florals and culinary elements such as heirloom tomatoes, baby carrots, eggplants, garlic, raspberries, figs, kale, mint, and sage…

Seriously love this tower of local cheeses in lieu of a cake for couples who don’t have a sweet tooth! ;)
