Choosing Your Wedding Transport – Travel in Style

Choosing Your Wedding Transport – Travel in Style

via

This afternoon I am delighted to welcome back Laura to the Blog. Today Laura is looking at Transport ideas something that can sometimes be overlooked on your wedding day. How you and your wedding party get to the wedding can really reflect your personality and can make for some pretty fun photos as well!

I’ll pass the blog over to Laura…………..

Hi everybody, me again! It’s great to be back to talk about your alternative transport options today. Long gone are the days of the obligatory Rolls-Royce  – why have that when you could have something a little more closer to home? Your parent’s beloved heritage car or your brother’s Golf Mark II? Are you making use of the farm’s trailer or tractor, or the beach-side tram? Bring your entire day together in an instant by extending the things you love to include your journey to the ceremony too!

Retro Cars

Taking a car to your wedding or reception is probably the most traditional form of transport, but instead of a traditional vintage car, or luxury hire car why not mix it up a bit and go for something cute and retro. There are SO many choices out there, there should be something to suit anyone’s style and taste.

VW Campervans

The campervan seems to be the go to vehicle at the moment. They are cute, colourful, value for money and roomy, so great for you have a big dress, or if you have a large wedding party. I LOVE them and it seems that everyone does at the moment.

Vintage Buses

If you have as lot of guest to transport from one place to another then a vintage bus is the thing for you.? Just be sure to have a back up as these vehicles may be super reliable or keen on bad weather!

Tractors and Trailers

There is a lot of farm and field weddings at the moment, and not only does this mean we get gorgeous barns and tipis gracing this fair pages, it also means there are a lot of brides out there ready to don their wellies, climb on board a big red tractor and arrive in completely practical and statement style. Fantastic!

By Air or By Sea

If you really want some big statement (and aren’t afraid of potentially being a little wind-swept) then arriving from the skies or the water could be completely magical. Check out these fabulous brides commanding All The Attention:

Public Transport

For all those brides on a budget it’s great to see you not being too fussy about what gets you to your man – or him to you! We’ve had trams, buses, trains and a good old black cab. Just make sure they step on it, we know what their time-keeping is like!

A Bicycle Made for Two

And finally, there’s something so romantic about a tandem, a basket filled with blooms or if you feel less exercise inclined a classic scooter makes the perfect chic accessory.

I’d love to know what you think? What are you using to get your to the ceremony on time? Me, I went with the standard white courtesy car, but bonus points if you recognise my Mr in all his finest up there in the collages! Are you a bride who wants to arrive in style, or leave the surprises for after the service? What’s the best way you’ve ever seen a bride arrive?
