Robyn + Colin's fuchsia blush and cream beach wedding was nothing short of classic romance. Their Maui wedding ceremony was set against the backdrop of the ocean, with soft white fabric blowing in the breeze, amidst lush arrangements of garden roses, peonies and delicate blooms. A reception under the stars followed, with bistro lighting and naked lightbulbs creating an aura of unforgettable romance, all captured by Naomi Levitt photography.

The couple wanted an intimate wedding where they could spoil their guests. Because it was a destination wedding, Robyn's parents hosted a cocktail night two nights before the wedding. On the night before the beach wedding, guests were treated to a sunset cocktail cruise! The day of, the couple chartered guests to the wedding: "We all love to party! We had a beautiful cocktail hour with live music and delicious food. Each and every guest at the wedding had been part of our lives and our journey together- so I think that alone made the wedding incredibly personal."

Love Story: We met at university - Colin was an assistant in one of my classes! The chemistry was crazy and completely undeniable, but we waited until I finished that year to pursue anything further. After a year of dating, Colin was accepted into medical school in Dublin, Ireland. Like crazy fools in love, we decided to give long distance a try. It was a challenging time but I think allowed us to grow as individuals- and we made it work for all 5 years!

We've been through a lot of ups and downs, both completed medical school and finally settled in our careers. After 10 years of dating, we were in Germany for a friend's wedding and on the final night, when it was just us two, he pulled out a ring and asked if I'd spend the rest of my life with him. It was perfect - a beautiful patio and a great bottle of wine. I wanted my gown to move with the wind and not be too hot on the beach. It had a natural waist line with chiffon and felt, great on the day of the wedding. My wedding bouquet had a cascading effect with greens, cream and fuchsia pops of colour. The bridesmaids wore long, romantic Joanna August dresses in blush. Their bouquets were smaller versions of mine. The groom and groomsmen wore suits from Simon's department store and had custom dress shirts made. Colin chose every little detail of the shirts- from stitching to embroidering their initials on the cuffs. He wore a Simon's suit, personalizing his look with fun socks and a boutonniere.

We had a canopy with 1 corner of flowers- very similar to my bouquet. The ceremony was short and sweet by very meaningful. Our officiant had everyone laughing and crying the whole time. Our Mom's read a blessing for us. Although we weren't having a traditional Catholic wedding, we still wanted to incorporate our faith into the day

There were a few big decisions that caused some stress, but I found if I was able to sleep on it and walk away for a few days, clarity always came. Click To Tweet

We had a wedding map guest book! We plan to frame it and put it up in our home office.

Garden roses and greenery draped off the tables of beach wedding reception, finished with gold candles, and gold cutlery. We had long wooden tables and dark wood chivari chairs. The seating chart was strategically planned and the sign was beautifully hand written by a local artist.

We used gold calligraphy wood name cards which added a very personal touch.

We used bistro lighting and strings of floating bulbs. Everything contributed to a very soft, romantic look. The dance floor was in the centre and was always full- we danced hard- just like we'd hoped.
