During his Fall 2016 runway show, Naeem Khan again demonstrated why he has been the designer to watch since his first bridal collection debuted in 2013. With dramatic, feminine designs and intricate detailing, Khan's latest collection included some of the designer's most ambitious looks yet. Inspired by Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, Khan's Latin motif was brought to life by billowing ball gowns and bold hand-embroidered detailing. Models even donned Frida Kahlo's iconic hairstyle, with braids and sleek centred-parted hair. Oversized floral crowns paired perfectly with bold, statement earrings and emphasized the collection's boho royalty feel. Appealing to the stylish sensibility of modern brides, Khan offered looks boasting crystal embellishments, pearl sequins and ostrich feather accents. The collection also brought a splash of colour with gowns fashioned in gleaming gold and soft pinks. Silhouettes ranged from traditional A-lines and ball gowns to shorter hemlines, and even included a retro beaded fringe short dress with a tulle illusion neckline. Departing from the more conventional bridal styles, Khan injected a hint of edginess with several bold standout pieces, including a chic embroidered organza caftan with bejeweled cuffs and iridescent hemline.
