While there is no denying the fact that wedding drones are cool and contemporary, you should still not make an impulsive decision.

Before you hire a wedding drone, there are some things that you need to know.

Time-consuming

Weddings require photographers to capture beautiful moments in split seconds.

Drones might not be the best idea, especially if you leave a major part of wedding photography up to this tech.

The wedding drone needs to fly into position and settle before taking good shots while the vows are being taken.

On the contrary, wedding drones can be perfect for the reception party after the wedding.

Safety at Risk

While virtually all wedding drone operators are professionals and know how to control the floating device, things can go wrong at any time. Bear in mind that a drone is a mini helicopter.

If it faces issues with its signals, falls short on battery, or faces any malfunction, it will come crashing down straight away.

This can cause severe injuries to your guests. It may be the worst-case scenario, but it has to be considered.

The Big Picture

Leaving everything to drone shots during the wedding may be a big mistake.

HIgh quality Drones have certain capabilities and may be perfect to capture the bigger picture, a bunch of people standing together, or the stage setting from a distance.

However, close-ups are not a wedding drone’s strong point. On the other hand, it can be great to capture the bride’s walk down the aisle.

Insurance Is Important . While you hire a wedding drone, make sure that the photographer has got a liability insurance for the drone.

As per the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle laws, if the drone causes any damage, the owner will be held responsible for the damages.

You need to make sure that the photographer flying the drone can afford the repairs if any.

They Can Fail to Deliver

What if you have strong winds or rainy weather on your wedding day? Wedding drones may not be able to perform in such adverse climatic conditions.

If you are hiring a wedding drone, and look forward to seeing those excellent aerial shots, bear in mind that things can go wrong exactly before the big shoot.

They Cost Extra

Hiring a wedding drone can cost you a little extra. This will be in addition to the already-compiled massive wedding expenses.

You will already be paying quite a bit to the wedding photographer to capture moments from the ground.

Throwing away another couple of hundred dollars may not be necessary as it can be crucial to budgeting.

If you still want to hire a wedding drone for those aerial views of your wedding, you can ask your current photographer if he can blend wedding drone photography into his or her original charges, and offer you a package.

Indoor Setting Wouldn’t Do It Justice

Wedding drones are meant to fly like a free bird. Hiring them and then holding a wedding indoors will not do justice to your investment, or the capabilities of the drone.

If you plan on getting those appealing aerial shots from the drone, make sure you have an outdoor venue.

Hiring a wedding drone should not be an impulsive decision. Make sure you at least consider the pointers mentioned above before going for it.
