The Offbeat Bride: Missy, Student Affairs Professional Her offbeat partner: Charli, Pet Care Business Manager Date and location of wedding: The Santa Monica Pier Carousel in Santa Monica, California - October 30, 2015 Our celebration was a compromise between me wanting an elopement and my partner wanting a large party.

Tina and Dave were married at The Grand Pier, Weston Super Mare. Their wedding was a colourful mix of all the things they love. "Tina and I met in the summer of 2010 on a booze cruise organised by our workplace", wrote Dave. "She arrived with her pink hair in curls wearing a 50s polka dot dress, tattoo print shoes and red lipstick. I fell in love that night."

Anne-Marie and Pier-Alexandre's love story all started at a university football game. "Pier-Alexandre was sitting in front of me, next to a guy I had studied with a few years prior," explains Anne-Marie. "He barely talked to me until I told his friend how impolite he was.

Michelle and Jesse were high school friends turned lovebirds. A couple years after they began dating, Jesse took Michelle out for a romantic dinner followed by a walk along the pier (the same pier on which Jesse had asked Michelle to be his girlfriend).

Eve and Dave were married at the Royal Pavilion on Southend Pier. After fish n chips on the beach, their reception was held at The Arlington, an art deco style building. They wanted their wedding to reflect both their individual styles so a retro theme with gothic touches it was!

Charlotte and Leo, originally from Brighton but currently living in Liverpool, knew they wanted to marry in the city where they met. So they planned their wedding from afar and booked out an entire guest house right on the sea front to accommodate their guests! A Room with a View has nine guest rooms and was the perfect place for everyone to get ready. The floor to ceiling windows looking over the beach and pier made for some great photos from Lisa Devlin too!

It's a natural given that any engagement session involving Melvin Gilbert Photography , a pier, and two sweeties waiting for the walk down the aisle to be absolutely marvelous. These two lovebirds had a little hand from the heavens above and mutual friends in joining as one.

I'm pretty sure taking engagement photos in Los Angeles without visiting the beach would be a crime-we definitely did not want to miss the opportunity to walk along the shore and the pier with our paparazzo in tow. I think you can tell that we had loosened up a bit by this point in the day.

Leann and Doug's North Vancouver wedding at the Pinnacle Pier Hotel had a lot of charm and one of the most adorable first dances ever. In almost 11 years together, this was the first time they had ever danced together. Apparently the happy tears were overflowing.
