I've been doing this blogging thing for almost 4 years now. And we've been in this house for over 5 years. So today I thought I'd share how our house has changed over the last 5 years. This is to show how far we've come and to emphasize that making your house a home doesn't happen overnight.

Any time we see a wedding at Carondelet House, we know we're about to experience something special. The venue itself is nothing short of magical, and Nancy and Sam's style only enhanced its natural beauty. Sloan Photographers and Live.Love.Create.

Oh Jackie and Craig you really do know how to throw an awesome wedding don't you. A party full of delicious handpicked blooms and floral bow tied ushers and lace shoes and actual wedding cake shaped piñatas.

Old walnut tree that grows in the middle of my backyard brought back the idea of building a tree house. I've never had a real one - we used to build wooden forts from scrap wood and branches with my childhood friends, but a roofed platform, high in the sky, with a rope ladder, remained only an unfulfilled wish.

For me personally, there is something I find so sensual & beautiful about boudoir images shot through a veil. Something about the altered filter like state that is touch extra yummy. When Florida wedding photographer Michelle Mock Photography was thinking of the perfect locale for her boudoir shoot, the Porcher House in Cocoa Florida revealed itself as perfection.

House of Laurels is a wedding reception venue, ceremony venue and luxury accommodation all in one. There is plenty of space available in the main house and guest houses for many, if not all of your bridal party and wedding guests.

Hayley's Temperley dress, an evening gown not from their wedding range looks amazing and was the perfect choice. As was Buckland House, a sprawling country manor set in 280 acres of grounds. What a stunning backdrop to this simple contemporary wedding with enough home made ideas to satisfy even the the most DIY driven bride to be.

From time to time I can't put my finger on exactly why I love a wedding - all I know for sure is that the couple just nailed it. Amelia and Lucian, who wanted a handfasting ceremony surrounded by redwoods and a dance party under the stars, are a prime example of such a couple.

On a beautiful September day Michelle and Matt tied the knot at the beautiful Legare Waring House. Pops of blue and coral accent the underlying soft creams and whites of the day in such a lovely way. Stunning florals from Ooh!

Lately I've been craving colour. I'm not sure whether it's the influence of Spring with her purple hyacinths, sunshine yellow daffodils and girly pink cherry blossoms but frankly I just can't get enough of a bright hue. So Harriet and Mishal's colour pop affair is the perfect way to satisfy my cravings on this overcast morning.

Happy second week of 2017! This week's signature mocktail is perfect for anyone taking on a Whole 30 or "Sober January" this month. Jasmine tea, ginger syrup and citrus juice come together for a signature drink that is both beautiful and delicious (and makes you feel good, too)!

Summer is finally starting to wind down a bit, which makes us appreciate relaxed, backyard celebrations like this one from Danielle Poff all the more.
