Today's couple Cynthia and Jan met during college at the birthday party of a mutual friend. While on holidays in Sintra, Portugal a few years later, Jan got down on one knee in the centre of the beautiful Palácio da Pena to ask Cynthia to be his wife.

Choosing underground venue Spring Street Grocer, a team (including photographer Willem-Dirk du Toit, florist Floretta by Grace, furniture hire company Harry the Hirer, pastry chef Burch & Purchese, hair and makeup artist Stephanie Christofi, stationer Peace, Love and Letterpress and bridal couture designer Suzanne Harward.

Stephanie and Juan returned last summer to the city where they met to celebrate their marriage with friends and family. They wanted somewhere modern and easily accessible for guests and so chose the Hotel Arts Barcelona. The views of the city and beach from the 41st floor of the hotel are jaw dropping.

Long Island City's Metropolitan Building is always an absolute stunner of a venue, but it's even more stunning to see how couples come in and make it their own each time. Marisa and Chris put their own vintage-inspired spin on the wedding reception, which included mercury glass centerpieces and votive holders, with modern touches to keep it all current as captured by Amber Gress.

Urban chic, city lights and a loving atmosphere, what more can one ask for. Sumien and Anthony recently got married at the very popular Arts On Main Market place in Johannesburg CBD. A city wedding is not necessarily something to be scared of, as it has the potential to create some of the most beautiful weddings.
