From the time I was a little kid I began curating the pictures I had into albums, first with a theme and then just chronologically as I documented my life with a 35mm point and shoot. To this day, I have boxes and boxes of these albums ‘cluttering’ up in our storage.⠀ Not much has changed, as I’m still spending my days arranging photos into collections and albums—both on hard drives and now in beautiful bound books for clients. The awe of how they can transport you back to a time and place never escapes me. Each archive and album brings me back to that day and reminds me that I’m so grateful for the privilege to document and create.⠀ This is one of my favorite pre-wedding shoots in beautiful Santa Ynez for Hong Kong based Josephine and Alan.⠀ Now is the time to plan and dream, so I dare ask, where would you plan your next shoot? And as I like to say, ‘the world is your oyster’.
