This beauty was married on Saturday. The Italians always say that rain on your wedding day is good luck and indeed Kimbrell and Bruce were showered with 1 million blessings carried in by a tropical storm in a setting so perfectly created by her wonderful family, with a nod to the their “Amore per l'Italia”. We were grateful for every sweet moment with this special family. . . I’m also reflecting on the team that made this day so effortless for the guests. Let’s be honest. Rain is hard on wedding days, especially for a planning team because you want it to feel as though the rain plan was as intentional as the sun plan and in trying to make that happen, any number of things could be going on behind the scenes when you’re combating weather. You want your guests to enjoy the wedding day and not feel affected by the rain.. Photographically it makes for a beautiful dreamy setting, but behind the scenes a team of rockstar planners are really moving the day along. @taraguerard and team really killed it on this one. I walked into a tent that felt like an Italian dream, the scent of lemon and herbs filling the room. It was cozy, it was perfect, and in my mind it was even lovelier than what the sun might have brought. Isn’t that the funny thing about having to push yourself to make something pretty, even prettier. The wine flowed, the dancing went until two and it was a party had by all. I’m grateful on weekends like this that I get to work with the best of the best, and in doing so, continue to meet the most wonderful clients turned friends.
