A few years ago, we did a styled shoot called Pretty in Punk where we took cues from the 1970s UK subculture (it’s way more than a look...) and added it into a 21st C setting. As well as things like the safety pins, mohawks, and dramatic make-up (which actually had a more ‘80s new romantic feel), I asked for song lyrics to be included on jackets and other garments. (I’ve done this in other shoots I’m obsessed ha!) I wanted “Love you so much, makes me sick” from Nirvana’s Aneurysm (yes I know it’s not punk - I just lovvvve that line!) Jan from @atelier19chelt made THIS and it completely stole my heart. The delicate and beautiful embroidery that she is just amazing at is at odds with the savage way Kurt spits out the line but also echoes that vulnerability behind it. It’s just perfection and you should def hit Jan up if this is your thing
