Tidewater and Tulle

[travels] Ohayo gozaimasu from Japan! We had been planning for a cruise around Asia for years since we had never been and my husband’s heritage is Thai, so finally, for his 40th birthday, we made it happen! Our first country on our @norwegiancruiseline itinerary was Japan, and it won’t be the last time we visit. Entranced by the orderliness, politeness, hospitality, and tranquility, there is not one spot that didn’t keep us amazed at how this island country lives day-to-day. Tokyo gave us the cleanest city I’ve ever seen, Shimizu gave us a nod to Shinto tradition and Mt. Fuji’s cameo, and Kochi gave us an epic 17th century castle — the only one in all of Japan with its original Edo period architecture. Basically a romantic vacay dream for anyone with a love for the East. It’s onward to Taiwan now. Adventure awaits! (Also I finally get to use all these Japanese emojis!! ⛩
