BEAUTIFUL DESTINATIONS

Pillar-like formations pop up throughout Zhangjiajie National Park — one of the pillars, at 1,080 meters, was renamed “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain” in 2013 after inspiring the floating mountain in the film. Much of the erosion of these geographic features is caused by expanding ice in the winter and the plants which frequently grow on their variable lime- and sandstone-sides. (
