Looking back to Lauren + Ana's New Zealand elopement today and thinking how crazy it is Australian same-sex couples have to leave the country to legally cement their love in 2017! Ballot papers for the postal plebiscite will start arriving in the mail from Sept 12 so if you need to register or simply update your mailing address you have less than two weeks to get your arse into gear to ensure your vote counts. Yes we know it's not ideal, unlike the original in-person plebiscite, the postal vote is not mandatory and is geared towards silencing the voice of young unregistered voters but we won't be boycotting, our whole team spent the morning online ensuring our details are up to date and our voices will be heard. Photo by @laurencampbell.
