The moment we saw this wedding from one of our favorite Texan photographers Q Weddings, we knew we had to share it with you! This couple is so stylish and playful that it's hard to choose just one favorite detail (and honestly, we don't know whose fashion is more amazing, the bride or the groom!), but the toy guns that replaced confetti at the end of the ceremony might take the cake!

Are there any DIY details you'd like to tell us about? Our pup Rambeau wasn't the only one rocking a bow tie for the day! The mother-of-the-groom made the groomsmen's reversible bow ties (one side ivory with polka dots, the other chambray.)

Have you ever seen anything like Sorenne's gown? Custom made by Momo Soho, it features tie-dyed silk satin and a lavender tulle petticoat. Loeffler Randall satin booties complete the "Cyndi Lauper-meets-the-1800s" look she was shooting for. We say she nailed it! Her 70s-chic bridesmaids fit with her look perfectly, and carried bouquets featuring roses, crespedia, and succulents.

The Ceremony
Why did you choose this location for your ceremony? We are based in Portland, Oregon, but always head down to Austin, Texas when we need to get away. For our wedding day we chose Austin's Three Points Ranch, which has so many amazing features - a barn and Airstream trailers, plus decorations including Mexican blankets and original farming gear. We originally met at Matt's band's concert in 2009, and it had the perfect country-meets-rock-n-roll vibe we love.

What was your ceremony music? A good friend of ours played the fiddle.

What were your vows like? We wrote our own.

Don't their outfits fit so perfectly with the colors and mood of the Texas landscape? It's like a classic Western meets modern fashion show!

The Reception

How would you describe your reception? An eclectic, relaxed and fun night under the stars. Our table decor included neutral linens, wine bottles (which we used as table numbers), and flowers in wooden crates and colored glass vases. We also used antlers and lace doilies to give that 1800s feel. One of our favorite details was the tiny brass charms tied around each napkin with twine. We used charms like anchors and guitars because of how meaningful they are to us as a couple.

What inspired you when you were planning your wedding? We were inspired by a lot of things, including good ol' Texas, and rock 'n' roll. We also included Native American elements. Our escort cards were designed to look like concert tickets and we had custom cocktail napkins and matchboxes printed with our initials and hearts and arrows.

What was your first dance song? Cool Water by Isobel Campbell.

What type of cake or dessert did you serve? Our friend Dawn Paulson made us a fantastic dessert bar, including Texan Pecan Pies, one of which which we cut into as a 'wedding cake'!
