Just as you got giddy at the thought of you wearing said item, you quickly realized that you had no idea where to look to even begin to hunt it down. Well, Nordstrom has just come up with a solution for those relatable and torturous moments with a new scanning feature on their shopping app. All you have to do is take a photo of the thing you like, upload it to the app and Nordstrom will scan the image to curate a stylish selection of products that are either exact matches (which happened to me!) or extremely similar, at all price ranges.

After just testing it for the first time, I can assure you that as someone who curates a strong selection of product for consumers all day long for a living, this app is top-notch and has changed the way I shop forever. The ease and efficiency of the feature are unparalleled and if you are as into inspiration pictures and celebrity style as much as I am, this app will quickly become your new best friend.

Since I work in fashion, I already knew these shoes were Balenciaga, but I wanted to see if the Nordstrom app could suggest similar styles to me that were hopefully more affordable. Not to my surprise, it did, in addition to completely hitting the nail on the head by suggesting the exact Balenciaga pair in the image to me.

I have been wanting a shearling denim jacket for a long time now, and once I saw this street-style image, I knew it was time. The app instantly pulled up a variation of denim jackets with shearling, embroidery, even both, just like the one in the image. I ended up buying the Topshop one, FYI.

I have a coat just like the one in this street-style image, so once I saw this bag/coat combination, I knew I had to buy a handbag just like this one. Since small orange accessories like this can be hard to come by, I found myself extremely grateful for the scan feature on the Nordstrom app in this exact moment. I was pleasantly surprised with my results, especially the nearly identical Mulberry find.
