Oscar Worthy "La La Land"-Inspired Elopement

It's another day of sun here in Los Angeles, and we're gearing up for Oscar Weekend! We fell in love with 2016's sweetheart, "La La Land," and we're pretty sure that this styled elopement might be a crowd favorite, too! While looking through these photos by Jonnie + Garrett, we encourage you to blast the soundtrack + sing/hum along to the tunes. Designer Tremaine Ranch shares After seeing the movie for the first time, I instantly felt inspired. The colors, the music, the acting; everything about this film is why I love planning + bringing concepts to life with the power of design. Finding other vendors that felt that same rush of inspiration was surprisingly easy...

Our idea was to create an elopement shoot that was inspired by scenes in the film with fun and bright colors, paired with moody undertones that set you up to feel like you're part of the cast. Our bride, an actress who wishes to be cast in a Hollywood film - meets our groom, a struggling musician who dreams of playing a piano around the world. Two lovers destined to be together meet and fall in love. Knowing that their dreams are important, but so is their relationship, our leading man, Oliver, decides to propose to the classically beautiful Claire. This is a story about two fools who fall in love and dare to dream bigger while standing by each other's side. We pulled elements straight from the movie including the old street lamps, the convertible car, and dancing in the street.

Ready to be swept away by this dreamy scene? Let's go!!

How PERFECT is this? The marriage announcement was written as a screenplay, to tie in the bride's love for theater + film.

Noir Floral took an old stage piano and jazzed it up by adding a beautiful floral installation, all paired with Standard Wax candles. The colorful pops helped bring the darker scene to life, just like in the film.

Such a stunning collection of flowers + use of color!

Can we talk about that street lamp for a moment?! SO GOOD! That beauty is from Erica Gallo at Classic Party Rentals.

Kaylee Kauffman crafted that refined + regal hairstyle, while Phoenix Makeup Collective kept the bride looking glam all day.

You can practically hear the piano + the tunes that Emma Stone + Ryan Gosling crooned...

Our bridal gown from Bella Lily Bridal pays homage to the modern, yet classic, style of Emma Stone's character in the film. A blue suit and men's accessories from Magro Clothing fit our Ryan Gosling perfectly.

Sift Bakehouse AZ crafted that ultra-cool cake with a touch of golden flakes.

Tremaine Ranch supplied all furniture + specialty rentals, including the crescent moon backdrop that perfectly fit into the 'City of Stars' idea.

Harkening back to the opening scene of the movie, with the infamous LA traffic, we love that they included this old school convertible car.

The coolest!

Here's to the fools who dream! - "La La Land"

STAR. STRUCK. Who else thinks this styled elopement completely captured the spirit of the movie? Who else wants to go on their own Old Hollywood adventure, while dancing and singing now? Yeah, us too...
