It's been a little while since we asked Chloe of Spicers Peak Lodge to answer these questions, and since then, Chloe has gone off on travels far and wide. Felicity is now your go-to wedding & events planner (and Assistant General Manager) at Spicers Peak Lodge keeping alive the values of excellent service, food that will make your mouth water, and attention to detail that make Spicers Peak Lodge one of the most awarded and luxurious venues in Australia. Perched on a peak with mountain views that will take your breath away, stunning Spicers Peak Lodge is 'as close to heaven as it's possible to be'.

We asked Chloe of Spicers Peak Lodge five questions in five minutes:

What is your favourite after five drink?
Baileys on ice.

Your favourite weekend getaway?
Camping by the beach, or treating myself to a luxury rainforest getaway.

Favourite restaurant?
The Peak Restaurant in Maryvale.

What can we find you eating for breakfast on a Sunday morning?
Scrambled eggs on vegemite toast.

Your favourite wedding story?
Emma had reached the stage in her life that she was ready to find the right man. She registered for e-harmony & not long later she went on a first date with Philip. He may have dressed crossing stripes & checkered clothing, but their love is all that mattered. They love hosting their friends and family & were well known for over catering. So you can only imagine when they had their wedding at Spicers Peak Lodge it was no less than extravagant with plenty of food. It was a 2 night wedding hosting their vendors / suppliers on the first evening and their wedding of 89 guests on the 2nd night. It was 2 x long tables, with floral installations hanging from above by Green and Bloom, candles on the table, fairy lights, & List Hunt and band from Byron Bay. They had an endless antipasto station, 5 course degustation / share plate menu, cheese tier wedding cake and late night sliders.

It was one of the most intimate weddings focused on just the idea of family, and everyone being together. There were continuous family memories throughout the night, a toast to Emma's late dad who passed away just before she was engaged, stolen glances and kisses between Emma & Philip, a fun dance with all of Emma's girlfriends, speciality bourbons for the gentlemen, and much more. It truly was a wedding I will remember always. (See this gorgeous couple in the image above).
