Sarah and David knew that they wanted their wedding to be an amazing party for their friends and family, and holding it on New Year's Eve seemed like the perfect way to do this. "To really knock out the celebratory theme, we chose a black-tie motif mixed with gold accents, because New Year's Eve traditionally has such a fun and sparkly feel to it," Sarah says. "I also designed a party favour table with everything from top hats, feather crowns and homemade glitter bombs to noisemakers and beads."

The couple agrees that best moment of the day was seeing each other for the first time when walking down the aisle. "We were both so excited! Our officiant was a good friend, and prior to us reading our vows, he secretly asked guests in the crowd to give him some quotes about marriage, which he read to us. It was so unique and special getting advice from all the people in our lives we love," Sarah says.

Other fun details at the reception included their gourmet popcorn bar and a five-foot-wide white "love ball." "We served three flavours of popcorn, which was a huge hit with the guests, and they took pictures with the ball throughout the night. It was so much fun!" Sarah says.
