What I love the most about featuring styled wedding inspiration shoots is not just the ideas they provide, although this is one of the main reasons we feature them, but the suppliers that are behind them. Cool and unique suppliers who always offer something a bit different. Pretty much every shoot we feature is guaranteed to introduce me to some amazing talent and today is no exception. I have discovered the Blusing Cook who made the fabulous tiered wedding cake decorated with pressed edible flowers; TH&TH who supplied the gorgeous bridesmaid dresses for the shoot; Arabelle Brusan who design and produce ethically sourced jewellery and Love From Becky who hand makes pretty flower garlands and headpieces that are perfect for a boho bride.

Put together by wedding stylist Gemma of The White Emporium (another amazing tallent) today's shoot is inspired by organic produce, home grown flowers, allotements and potting sheds. It has a wonderful fresh, natural and light feel to it and incorporates a bit of vintage wedding luxe - perfect to brighten up this cold and dreary winters day.

It Started In a Garden Room....

When I was approached by Moggerhanger Park to arrange a styled shoot in their Garden Room, I did a little excited dance, being given a blank canvas filled with so much light is a dream! When you stand in the room and the light spills through the triple aspect windows, there is such a feeling of freshness and serenity that I really wanted to build on this vibe. Stepping outside into their walled garden it was an oasis of calm, with no sounds apart from the birds and the odd noisy squirrel. Moggerhanger are painstakingly replanting the flower beds inside the walls and I loved the way the vibrant flower colours bounced of the brick walls.

I was lucky enough to have the super talented Cat Lane on board, she is a photographic whizz kid always ready to capture the perfect shot, even jumping out of the car when we first arrived to capture the breath taking sunrise over the house. I loved how she bought my vision to life and the photographs have this feel of freshness and light.

Garden Grown Flowers & Terracotta Pots....

The colour palette and styling was all inspired by the walled garden setting. Every time I thought about this shoot I had visions of the gardeners who worked the grounds and the idea that they were out picking the flowers and greenery for us to use. Alas it wasn't the right time of year for an abundance of garden grown flowers so there was a little improvisation. I have always dabbled with flowers through The White Emporium but this shoot gave me the opportunity for my first public flower outing. The bouquets were relaxed hand ties filled with vintage roses, eucalyptus and wax flower. Greenery was the dominant colour in both bouquets and throughout the styling feel with the bright colour pops from the potted plants, whilst the beautiful rustic coloured roses lifted the brides bouquet. The table was decorated with terracotta pots filled lavender and my favourite happy flower pansies. All the greenery used inside along the beams and hanging down the hessian backdrops was picked whilst foraging around Moggerhanger's woods. Outside I set up a beech pole arch against a back drop of flower beds, it was decorated with draped chiffon and rows of scavenged pegged greenery.

Light and Fresh Styling....

I wanted the styling to reflect the feeling of light and freshness, the idea was to enhance the gardens and room, not to swamp it. I wanted to have hints to an allotment and potting shed so included highlights like an old 60's radio, crates and potted plants. I used white lace chair backs to bounce the light, the table was decorated with books and glass candle sticks. Napkin rings were fashioned from the left over flowers and placed on top of mismatched stacked china plates. I love the idea of help yourself tables full of sweet treats, so we set up glass Kilner drinks dispensers surrounded by trays and cake stands full of yummy meringue kisses supplied by Fetti Four. Stationary was supplied Laura from Holmes Sweet Holmes, her relaxed stationary was a perfect fit for the theme, she supplied a black type invite printed on brown Kraft paper layered with an opaque sheet.

A Real Life Couple....

Meri and Ben were the cutest real life couple, their love for each other is so expressive, I love the way Cat beautifully captures the glint in Bens eye when he looks at his jaw droppingly beautiful wife. Meri wore a beautiful beaded low back dress from Justin Alexander supplied by leading bridal shop George James Bridal. Ben wore a 3 piece rustic country style Burford suit along with a gingham shirt and adorned with a stag head pin, this was supplied by the new kids about town The Vintage Suit Hire Company. Jessica and Tom from The Vintage Suit Hire Company really know how to dress a dapper groom and offer an amazing alternative from the traditional wedding wear, their 100% wool suits are everything an eclectic relaxed wedding needs.

A Bridesmaid in Blue....

Our stunning bridesmaid for the day was Blessing and she looked out of this world in her Bluebird Alara dress. the pale blue of this dress and Blessings makeup were a perfect combination and Blessings whole persona lit up in the low back full lace dress supplied by TH&TH bridesmaids. For a second look Blessing slipped into a blush Edie, also from the super talented TH&TH bridesmaids. This a dress made for twirling and spinning with meters of chiffon to create the perfect flow.

Both beautiful ladies wore hair accessories designed and created by Love From Becky. Meri started with a half flower crown made from preserved blush roses, dried lavender and foliage. The green of the leaves and Meris dark hair really made the colours in the pale roses and lavender pop. She then slipped into a full tulle veil for some shots in the Garden Room. This veil really softened the bridal silhouette and despite being a timeless classic made the look feel quite fresh. Blessing wore lavender clips amongst her sweeping up-do each lovingly handmade by Becky.

Ethically Sourced Jewellery....

The jewellery was supplied by Arabel Lebrusan, I love her ethically sourced, fairtrade organic inspired pieces which fitted perfectly with the relaxed feel of the shoot. Meri wore a sapphire engagement ring and wedding band set, the blue of the sapphire matched the grooms suit perfectly and the gem stone engagement ring offers a beautiful diamond alternative. Blessing wore a rose gold filigree friendship bracelet which makes a great choice for thoughtful bridesmaid gifts.

Simple, Natural and Classic....

Meri and Blessing wore a simple, natural, classic make-up look, created by Emma from Athena Mobile Beauty, using Bobbi Brown and Bare Minerals products. Amanda from The Kempston Hair Boutique crafted a sleek vintage low roll for our bride which was the perfect base to place Love From Becky's hair pieces. I love the effortless flawless look to the hair and make-up, Emma and Amanda translated my vision perfectly.

Organic Edible Garden Pressed Flowers....

Finally we were lucky enough to have the awesome Sammi from The Blushing Cook on board to provide the stunning cake. In keeping with the garden, home grown theme, Sammi covered a vanilla sponge with vanilla Italian meringue buttercream and organic edible garden grown pressed flowers. Yes you can really eat them! The cake was styled on a old fold top school desk filled with eucalyptus and foraged foliage.
