Festival Brides Love: Rocksalt Wedding Photography

via

When Hannah of Rocksalt Photography first got in touch with Festival Brides, I was instantly drawn to her lovely personality which shone through all of her emails. I could tell how passionate she was for her photography and, after visiting her website, could see that that passion translated into some truly lovely images, not just of weddings but of families too.

Describing her style as being 'for the wild at heart' Hannah has had a passion for photography since she was 11 years old and after studying fine art photography at university, she turned that passion into reality and started to capture weddings. Her style is unobtrusive, relaxed and fun with a strong emphasis on fitting into her couples day seamlessly.

Based in Wales, she is happy to travel all of the UK so if you like what you see in this post - please tap her up!

We asked Hannah a few questions about her likes, photography style and one of lives most important questions.......her dream festival!!

Over to Hannah.

Bit of a photography nerd, residing on our farm in the welsh hills with my gorgeous family (husband, 2 little people and our cat Freddy - not forgetting the sheep!) I've travelled the world, but i'm still not done with that.......ooooo and I love all types of crisp!

I've never to Greenman, which I'd love to go to. When the kids are a bit older, we will go.......(If I don't have a wedding)!

I decided that I wanted to be a photographer when I was given a camera at 11 years old. I was always more of a creative person than an academic, doing A levels in the arts and a degree in Fine Art Photography. I tried the artist thing for a few years (but that didn't really pay the bills) , I watched the wedding industry get more and more creative and thought that I had something to offer. I'm still here and loving it more than ever!

Fun, relaxed, unobtrusive are always words that people use to describe my style, I watch the industry closely and keep up with trends and am constantly pushing myself to try new techniques.

Cheesy answer alert : My couples! I genuinely love them all. I love being able to be creative in my job too.

I offer 3 packages that have evolved over the last 5 years.

This year I have added Film Highlights as an optional extra. I have fallen in love with filming this year. See an example here:

So I always encourage a pre-wedding session, which is a great opportunity for us to hang out before your wedding and get some awesome shots while we're at it. On the day I'm there to document your beautiful wedding, not direct it, so hopefully you won't hear my loud shouty voice!

Choose someone who you have a connection with, who you trust and someone who makes you laugh can always be a plus too.

Live for the moment
