Julie & Andrew's Relaxed Bohemian Tipi Wedding in Cornwall

Julie & Andrew's Relaxed Bohemian Tipi Wedding in Cornwall

via

Julie and Andrew said I do on the 3rd September 2016 at St Mary's Immaculate RC Church in Falmouth followed by dinner and dancing in a tipi in a field at Restronguet Barton, overlooking Mylor Harbour. They wanted their wedding to be relaxed and informal with a boho and country feel....

I didn't want anything over the top, just wanted to keep it fun and relaxed and make it about the guests as much as the bride and groom.

With a stunning bohemain lace dress from Dreamers and Lovers, pretty rustic DIY decor for the tipi, an amazing cheese cake and some large LOVE letters, this wedding is giving us lots of inspiration frills today and I haven't even mentioned Julie and Andrew's infections smiles.

Look out for their amazing couple shots in the rain by Olivia WR Photography and their find your face to find your place table plan.

Julie tells us all about it....

St Agnes, A Beach, Rocks and One Knee....

On a beach near St Agnes. We had a walk over the cliffs, stopped into a pub for an ale and then Andrew proposed in a quiet part of the beach by some rocks. We were both incredibly nervous!

My dress was from Dreamers and Lovers, a bridal shop/website in California. For my shoes I wore Moda in Pelle (plus some white Crocs which my Hens decorated and gave to me as a gift.) I had a flower garland with flowers made of white roses and heather. I didn't need any jewellery - just my grandma's wedding ring which was given to me by my mum the morning of the wedding.

Andrew wore a Reiss blue three-piece and TM Lewin silver tie. My two bridesmaid dresses were from Marks & Spencer and my Maid of Honour wore a mint green dress from Zara.

Jane Meredew Catering did all the food for our wedding. We had a mix of Cornish and Northern (Andrew is from Falmouth and I'm from near Manchester) canapes consisting of pasties, cream tea, fish goujons and mushy peas, Yorkshire pudding and beef. Followed by pork loin with potatoes, salads and bread, then sticky toffee pudding. Our cake was made of Cornish cheese, supplied and decorated by Jane Meredew Catering as well.

Andrew's dad created all the wooden signage, name card holders etc and he did an amazing job! We also bought bunting and decorated the venue with wild flowers in jam jars and baked bean tins. We created a Find your Face, Find your Place seating chart and used an old suitcase for gift cards.

The ceremony! Probably the one thing we least planned...

Don't take on too much, weddings are stressful enough! Get friends and family to help and use their skills where you can! This helps to save cash and makes it more personal. And use Pinterest for ideas!

It absolutely poured down on our wedding day - so you need to be prepared for anything! Luckily we had borrowed about 30 umbrellas from our friend who was an estate agent!
