Kittens, Feathers & Foliage Wedding Inspiration (This is pretty freaking cute!)

Modern wedding style is about so much more than how things look. It's about how they feel too.

And I think you'll agree today's wedding inspiration looks and feels pretty freaking fantastic.

Combining the softest of textures, Sanshine Photography, personal wedding stylist, Charlotte Munro, and a plethora of great UK vendors, have brought together kittens, feathers, foliage and beautiful wedding style to create the most pretty, the most delicate, and perhaps the most fluffy shoot we've featured in some time.

Now I must admit, I'm not much of a cat person. But even as a bona fide dog lover, I can still appreciate the cuteness of these kittens, and we're talking serious cuteness!

But before you think this post is about convincing you to turn your wedding into a kitten party (though that could make an amazing bridal shower!), it's more about showing you how to introducing a mix of texture, whether that's feathers and foliage or lace and fur to your day, rather than worrying about matching colours and making sure everything fits a certain theme.

From the Stylist

We wanted to create a shoot that embodies effortless elegance, and to show that you don't have to have a definite wedding "theme". There is so much pressure to have a Pinterest-worthy wedding; couples can sometimes get caught up in the theme of their wedding so much that it can be hard to keep the personal elements too. The photoshoot focuses on the elements of texture in a wedding, from silky soft tulle to feathers and foliage, to the beauty in vintage wooden furniture, in essence a theme without a theme. We decided to strip back on the "themed" props and accessories and work with items that fit with the venue. With a colour scheme of soft greens, ivory and blush pink the shoot has a light, whimsical feel to match the lightness of an orangery wedding, and to carry this feeling through to all the elements of the shoot we decided to include some little wedding helpers, as previously seen on the very cute biscuit adverts.

The photo shoot takes place at the stunning orangery at Gaynes Park and features a selection of fabulous suppliers including designer gowns from Berta and Monique Lhuillier, with Sanshine Photography capturing everyone's work to perfection. Our beautiful model's make-up featured beautiful dark smoky eyeshadow combined with a simple top-knot, the overall effect is elegant with a hint of glamour. Each of the dresses showcased two different looks, from fitted silhouette and lace details in the Zuhair Murad dress, to soft blush pink tulle in a strapless ball gown style from Monique Lhuillier. I decided to keep the accessories minimal as the makeup was all that was needed to set off each dress, the only adornment being Aruna Seth shoes.

We told you it was sweet, right? Those kittens are just adorable, but even if you're not crazy about cats, there's a lot of beautiful ideas in there - I love the cake, the stationery, the hair and make-up, the greenery, the gowns, and I've been to Gaynes Park - it's such a special venue.

Thanks so much to Sanshine Photography, Charlotte Munro and the rest of these wonderful vendors for sharing their unique wedding inspiration with us.
