Craig and Kassandra knew from the beginning that they wanted a fall wedding because of all the gorgeous colours that come with the season. "We really allowed the season to inform our décor scheme. For our palette we went with a navy blue, which is my favourite colour, and accented it with bright reds and pops of orange," Kassandra says. To go with their autumnal theme, the couple chose the Goldeye Centre-a secluded, rustic venue in the mountains. "The space where we had the reception was warm and inviting, and featured a grand fireplace at the centre of the room. The beams supporting the building were wrapped with lights, which gave the whole area a romantic glow at night," she explains.

Choosing to forego a first look with her groom, Kassandra met with the other main man in her life before the ceremony. "One of my favourite moments was the first look with my dad right before the ceremony. It was such a special point in time for both of us. We got some of the nerves out of the way before heading down the aisle," she says.

The couple's reception was a big bash full of food, drinks and of course, dancing. "Craig and I chose to open up the dance floor with our wedding song 'Bonfire Heart' by Runaground. It is a cover of the song written by James Blunt. I fell in love with the original and wanted to find a slower, wedding-day version, since the lyrics really resonated with us."
