Tropical Punch: A DIY Bridal Brunch with Cricut - BLOVED Blog

It might be September, but we're not quite ready to say goodbye to our summer brights yet! We're clinging on to warm thoughts and totally tropical shades with today's inspiration shoot combining all the things we love here at B.LOVED HQ; pretty styling, colourful florals and a tonne of beautifully crafted details all curated and photographed by our very own talented team.

To create this DIY tropical bridal brunch we've partnered with Cricut (makers of the ultimate electronic cutting machine) to show you how to style your very own day-after celebration (because why should the fun stop after the wedding?!). We've weaved DIY details throughout our luxe-styled event, from a paper palm leaf table runner and gold cacti tumblers to a flamingo cake topper (what else!), with a little help from our friends at Eagle Eyed Bride.

The clear ghost table and chairs (hired from Duchess & Butler and Wedhead) created the perfect backdrop for our paper palm runner and asymmetric tropical florals by Moss & Stone adding a punch of colour to the all-white interiors of London's One Marylebone. In keeping with the tropical theme we scattered flamingo, pineapple and palm motifs throughout, from the stunning Alice Peto plates, DIY gold cacti tumblers and palm-leaf cocktail carafes and even a set of fun photo booth props!

Eagle Eyed Bride designed a suite of complimentary tropical stationery featuring palms and bright florals (all printed on the super awesome Canon PIXMA iP8720) a theme which even continued onto our stunning day-after cake! Fruity cocktails were served with pineapple drinks stirrers and displayed on a gold drinks cart - laden with tropical fruits it's the perfect accessory for a boozy brunch celebration!

Of course, we couldn't forget the bridal style! Jumpsuits are the perfect choice for the newly-wed bride's wardrobe - and House of Ollichon do them best! Our brides rocked the retro-inspired styles while our 'maids stunned in multi-wrap dresses from Twobirds and a retro-inspired shift from Oliver Bonas (how awesome is that shade of orange?!) and put their best foot forward in shoes from the new Charlotte Mills bridal collection. Makeup artist Ana Ospina and Sev from the Hepburn Collection worked their magic on hair and makeup daring to be bold with day-after looks that dazzle, with bright lips picking up the bold hues of tropical blooms in their hair.

All of our DIY details use artwork selected from the Cricut Access Library, a brilliant resource where you can purchase and download literally thousands of images and projects for your own crafting needs. And in even more exciting news for the DIY bride, Cricut have just launched a brand new 'Wedding Craft' category, with ideas and inspirations to easily create your own big day details and really make it personal.
