The Hairstyle From New York Fashion Week We're Obsessed With

via

After a busy trip to New York for fashion week, we began sorting through our favorite runway looks with the intent of tailoring them to the everyday gal. Because turning high-fashion style into day-to-day wear is our forte.

At the Cinq à Sept SS17 show, boho curls took center stage with no-makeup makeup as the perfect complement. Here we show you how to recreate the romantic waves we're obsessed with for fall.

1. Create Texture & Part Hair

Apply Kérastase Mousse Bouffante to the roots and run a blow-dryer through your hair, using tension from your hands to create added volume and texture.

2. Part Hair

Create a center part, using a fine-tooth comb.

3. Braid Hair into Sections

Separate hair into 4-6 sections (depending on how tight you want the waves to be and how much hair you have), and braid each section into basic, three-strand braids.

4. Flat Iron the Braided Sections

Next, run a flat iron over each braided section two times, and let the braids cool before unraveling. NOTE: If you have naturally curly hair, touch up your curls with a ¾- or ½-inch curling iron and continue with the next step to give them some added va-va-voom!

5. Set the Curls

If you feel that some pieces are too curly at this point, you can use a flatiron to tone down the curl. Follow with Kérastase Spray-a-Porter to enhance the curly, boho texture. And finally, spray KérastaseLaque Couture all over to hold the style in place.

#ProTip: For frizz and flyaways, use a diffuser on high and dry against the shaft of the hair. Then, apply VIP Volume in Powder generously throughout as you break apart curls for texture that's looser and more undone.
