If you, like us, are in love with that modern-desert vibe, you're going to pretty much flip for today's stunning editorial feature. Planned + styled by our girl, Rachael, of Lace and Likes and hosted at Homestead Modern in Pioneertown, California by, sponsored by our friends at The Venue Report, this shoot encapsulates all the best things about the wildly beautiful desert. Rachael's main inspiration for the setting was to utilize the surrounding areas of Homestead for her color palette + tabletop elements. She tells us, I just wanted the shoot to be inspired by the house and desert and my main focus was to incorporate as many natural elements as possible.

Homestead Modern is already set up with string lights and wire to hang pretty decor from - in this case, the team hung foraged tumbleweeds. This venue is the perfect spot for an intimate, mini-destination wedding with a backdrop and views that just can't be beat!

All of the tabletop elements (besides the gorgeous glassware/table settings from Hostess Haven) were foraged and gathered from around the property. we collected rocks, tumbleweeds and other twiggy bits to tie our tablescape together.

Want to get married, or host an event or workshop at Homestead Modern? Rachael shares some insight after going through the process herself! Pappy and Harriet's is super close by, so I think that would work perfectly for catering help! And other than that, I'd just recommend doing justice to the natural beauty around the house and keeping things elegant but simple and modern.
