There is nothing more refreshing than feeling the country breeze, so we're all about today's modern-rustic California inspo shoot set on a private ranch estate in Petaluma. Dreaming of creating a cozy, but elegant, atmosphere that would help non-traditional couples plan a unique wedding day, Rebecca Gosselin Photography, Whitney Nelson Events, Poppystone Floral Design and K Venues teamed to execute this fun barn party soirée that's full of style, color, laughter, and even a miniature donkey! We're pretty sure you'll find an idea or two to love, so don't forget to pin your faves!

This little guy is for sure stealing the show, but we're also taking note of the bride's fun look! Paring Watters' fitted lace 'Georgia' Gown (from Bliss Bridal Wear) with a floral-adorned floppy hat, this bridal style is a perfect fit for a laid back celebration in country.

The team shared that the initial inspiration for the photoshoot arose from the idea of using a large cable knit blanket as a table cloth accent. The idea was to create a cozy but elegant design that leaned toward modern romance. Mission accomplished, guys! It looks great!

To close, Rebecca tells us more about this gorgeous venue, The private farm estate of K Venues - in the outskirts of Petaluma - draws a distinct couple. Most of these couples are ones that are looking to escape the urban feel but entering the countryside with the comforts that are usually offered by surrounding wineries. The expansive lawn overlooking the properties rolling hillside and pond is the perfect backdrop. The white barns with red doors seem like a scene right of the 80's show "Dallas".
