Both Paige and José can agree that the main objective for their wedding was to ensure that their guests had an amazing time above all else. Paige sums it up in a quote she came across while planning their big day, which served as the main guiding vision for the entire event. The quote read, 'A wedding is simply the first time you and your husband are hosting a party together.'

Going with a "really-excellent-party-meets-chill-vibes" theme, it was only fitting that the couple's guests be transported on a party bus from downtown Toronto and back. Paige and José admit their only regret about this was missing out on the party that took place on the shuttle buses. "People were dancing in the aisles the whole way home!" Paige says. "Exactly the vibe we wanted!"

Initially, the duo planned to have an outdoor wedding, but in the weeks leading up to the celebration they decided to move everything inside due to the pouring rain. "Our amazing venue and catering team hustled to make the transition totally seamless," Paige remembers. The soaring floor-to-ceiling windows in the Kortright Centre's ceremony space allowed the couple to have a woodsy ambiance for their "I dos" to spite being indoors. "The views were incredible and it felt like we were outside the whole time," she adds.

"One of the best moments of the evening was having our friends sing 'Marry You' by Bruno Mars at the end of the ceremony as we walked up the aisle," says Paige. "It was a surprise for our guests and such a joy-filled way to celebrate finally being married. We're very much into late-night karaoke-with Bruno Mars being one of José's favourite singers to take on-so this felt like an intimate, fun moment shared with everyone at the wedding."
