DIY: Silk Flower Boutonnieres

DIY: Silk Flower Boutonnieres

via

Today we paired up with our fave silk flower company, Afloral, to put together a flower boutonniere DIY for your hubby (or groomsmen)! We love that silk flowers mean they will never fade or flattened, and you can choose any flower no matter the season! Here's how we did it...

What You'll Need:

* Silk flowers from AFloral. We picked these: Ranunculus Spray, Birch Leaf Spray, Allium Bud Spray, Baby Cosmos, Jasmine Spray, Berry Spray in Green and Heather Bush
* Afloral Tape
* Scissors/Garden Shears
* Various ribbons of choice

Step 1: Start by trimming your silk flowers down to a boutonniere size. Stems were roughly 2-4 inches long. Pair together a few of your favorite flowers (a statement flower, a filler flower and a leafy green) combinations. Grab your floral tape and wrap tightly around until secure. For this one, we used XX, XX, XX and XX.

Step 2: Finish off your boutonniere by tying or wrapping your ribbon of choice around. You can either glue gun this down securely or tie off - your choice!

We made a few different varieties and loved them all - so easy!

If you make your own Afloral Boutonnieres with AFloral using these steps or supplies, we'd love to see how it turns out, so please share on Instagram along with the hashtag #GreenWeddingShoesDIY. We'll regram our faves!
