Melody and Paul first met in high school but it wasn't until six years after their graduation that the pair actually reconnected and started dating. "Having that background of friendship together for more than 10 years really solidified our relationship," Melody says.

For their big day, the couple opted for a vintage-meets-rustic romance-themed wedding. "I wanted to incorporate my love for soft tones and vintage decor with Paul's love of hunting and our mutual love of being in the woods," Melody says.

As a wedding photographer, Melody has seen her fair share of ill-fitting suits, so she made it her mission to bring back the tailored styled look for the men in her bridal party. Paul wore an Italian cut suit with an olive green skinny tie, which perfectly complemented Melody's billowing tulle skirt with lace appliqués and soft sweetheart neckline.

The couple said their "I dos" underneath an arbour surrounded by the forest and the people they love most. "I had vowed to be a mother to Paul's little girl," Melody shares. "We were starting this new journey as three people."
