Cabbage & Rose Country Venue is a picturesque, country-style wedding venue on Glen Cullen Private Country Estate, on the urban edge of Middelburg in Mpumalanga. If you are attracted to nature, country living and a peaceful farm atmosphere you will fall in love with this venue and it's grass plains, wetlands, and poplar forests.

The venue is very unique with a garden house and gorgeous glass chapel in a poplar forest, stables and even a cherry orchard, which in itself is a spring wedding inspiration!

The ladies from Cabbage & Rose recently teamed up with professionals and vendors from Middelburg, for a spring-inspired styled shoot. We are very proud of the fact that everyone who collaborated are local and it just goes to show that even though we might be a small town, we have everything you need right here.

We were insistent on using a real couple for the shoot (I'm all about being real!) and Michelle immediately knew that Natali and Mornay was our couple, when they visited the venue a few weeks ago, for their wedding next year. A picture speaks a thousand words, and the images of this couple speaks love in a thousand different ways.. (I'm being cheesy again....) Natali is such a classic beauty and was extraordinarily easy to photograph.

Mornay was also fun to work with and while I was shooting Natali, he mostly stood around staring at his beautiful fiancé. But who can blame him?

The color scheme of royal blue, gold, rose gold and peach played a huge part in how the styling came together. Michelle favors using flowers in season and almost everything she used came from the venue garden. Life these days can be busy, stressed and generally overwhelming. We spend too little time relaxing with the people we love, doing the things that make us smile. Life gets even busier, more stressed and overwhelming when most of us are planning weddings...
