Trying to find bridesmaid dresses for your winter wedding? When the temperatures drop, it's time to not only break out longer styles, but also more formal ones. Because these weddings are normally inside, they also tend towards being a bit more formal, particularly those surrounding Christmas and New Year's Eve. Here are 13 beautiful dresses ideal for a snowy, swanky event!

If you want to add an additional layer, but not bundle your bridesmaids up completely, try a dress featuring a lace overlay with sleeves. They can look equally festive in warm champagne (above) or a sweet cranberry red (below).

Lodge weddings are gorgeous, especially when covered in a blanket of snow. But, those venues can tend to be a little drafty. Warm your ladies up in a long-sleeved wool crepe dress in a flattering shade of midnight blue (below).

Of course, nothing speaks to holiday chic quite like sparkle. Why not pair long sleeves with a dazzling green-gold sequined dress? And none of your bridesmaids will mind the price tag when they realize they can also wear it out on NYE.

If your wedding is indoors or in a mild climate, you probably don't need to worry about finding a warm dress. So, instead focus on something extra special for the holidays, like a slinky red number (above) for your most daring friends, or an elegant Art Deco sheath in gold and black (below). Once your wedding is over, either of these dresses can become a favorite cocktail party dress to wear year-round.

Along with all the razzle-dazzle of winter weddings, also comes a sense of nostalgia. We love these charming a-line dresses below with their wide pleats and festive fabrics.

And above-the-knee skirt like these always pair really well with faux fur shrugs and wraps that hit just at the waist (because at some point they have to close down the party and brave the cold).

Because the season can be such an opportunity for over-the-top glam, more subtle options are often overlooked for winter weddings. We love the quiet simplicity of gray and silver dresses for one of these events. Use either a traditional light gray (above) or one with a slight lavender hue (below) depending on what color will best flatter your bridesmaids!

Last, but certainly not least, the classic winter wedding look of a traditional floor length-gown shouldn't be overlooked. It's elegant, refined, and seasonally appropriate.
