A Free Spirited and Colourful Bohemian Styled Wedding Shoot

There is a lot to love about today's styled shoot from Victoria Mitchell Photography and wedding stylist Fleur de Lace. Not only is it full of colour and gorgeous wedding inspiration, it also has the most wonderful free spirited vibe and is captured in a beautiful woodland and lake setting. What more could you ask for on a winters day?

With bohemian painted stones, a gorgeous flower dream catcher and a running theme of feathers, this shoot is definitely not short of a decor idea or two. We especially love the printed textiles used to create the maverick tent for two. This is such a lovely idea and one that can easily be created for your wedding day.

Victoria and Fleur talk us through the shoots concept, their collaboration and introduce us to the suppliers involved.

Like Boy meets Girl, Photographer met Stylist. We could describe the feel of the shoot by using all the usual inspirational weddingy words like Boho-Chic, Whimsical and Eclectic but instead we went with the idea that everything should have a relaxed "kick your shoes off and run through the meadow with the wind in your hair" feel. Through the lens of Victoria Mitchell, some special moments were captured using beautiful natural light, from lingering looks to the couple enjoying their surroundings. With the grounds, lake and woodlands of the gorgeous Hexton Manor as our backdrop, Venue Stylist Alice from Fleur de Lace brought painted elements, a bold template and gorgeous printed textiles to the shoot adding a little zestiness, all enhanced with gorgeous floral displays by Wild Orchid.

The Minna dress was stunning and complimented the light natural look created by Dani Forbes. And our groom, dapper in Jolly Brown accessories looked every bit the gentlemen with a dicky bow and the perfect quiff.

Each aspect of the shoot focused on using the natural environment as the subject. Feathery flowers, gorgeous stationary and a cake that makes your mouth water all added to fun and free feel. The painted stones are a great way to add DIY to this look, working as a place setting or table dressing you could paint the stones, using a water based paint.

We couldn't be prouder of how the shoot went and of what an amazing team we had to help put it all together! Flo and Tommy, our models, made such a cute couple together and suited the styling of the shoot perfectly.
