Over the years, I have gotten to know the Stubbs family, Buddy, Mary and Erin. They own Busylad Rent-All in Tupelo, MS. Erin is the designer and wedding consultant for the company. It doesn't take long in the store, speaking with Erin or seeing the many weddings she has designed to realize why Busylad is a part of so many Tupelo bride's weddings.

How long have you been in business? Busylad Rent-All opened in 1967, almost 50 years ago.

How did you get started? Busylad started first as a general tool and equipment rental store. Slowly the company entered the special event rental market by purchasing tables and chairs. Soon, they had everything needed for an event, from popcorn poppers to linens for tables and chairs. Of course, now if you visit, they have the tableware, lounge furniture, special lighting, serving pieces, tents and that's just the beginning.

What do you like most about what you do? When I asked Erin this question, she told me she likes helping people plan their event so they don't have to stress so much. She said she loves the look on a customer's face when they enter their event first. It is a total surprise and shock and it's everything the couple wanted.

Busylad Rent-All is truly a full service company. Erin's reply to this questions is "there is nothing we won't do! We will plan from start to finish, even make sure the doors are locked once all the guests leave."

If you could give the bride one piece of advice, what would that be? Hire a professional to help you plan everything. The professional can keep you organized and in budget. They also know tips and tricks and what will or will not work.

Any funny stories to share? The bride and groom planned to leave in an antique car borrowed from the bride's father's friend. Unfortunately, the car wouldn't start so they to unload their luggage and bum a ride from some friends leaving the reception.
